Hi all! Well, I did it! I ordered business cards, labels & stamps with my new logo~

EllieAnna Purse Co. is going to be the official "brand" of my purses~Josh is actually the one who encouraged me to "brand" the bags & really start marketing them!! Thanks Josh!

A New Favorite!!

Style that is!!! This is such a fun purse to make! I LOVE that it ties around the front! It has pockets inside & a magnetic clasp too!

Suttle Spring!

I like this style bag~I've made quite a few already!

That was the name of this pattern & it totally fits!! The color combo is bright & happy~A perfect spring time bag!! And look~even Jared likes it....don't mind the fact that it looks like he doesn't~he was sick that day :(

Now if only spring will come, I can enjoy using my newest bag!!!

Little Clutch Bag

So, in an effort to work a little outside of my comfort zone, I tried something with a snap! Not nearly as hard as I thought it would be (just a hammer & a cool little "snap tool"!) and VOILA! This little wristlet/clutch bag is fun & funky & has a snap closure!






I'm thinkin' these will be fun/easy to make to match an outfit for a wedding/night out~you name it ;)
Oh~and my little girls, Anna & Ellie, like them too ;)

**Haha~for those of you that know me, are you suprised I'm in my sweatpants & a sweatshirt?? For those of you just getting to know me, I LIVE in comfy clothes! And I want to be burried in them too ;)

Custom Bible Cover with Zipper Closure

Phew~This took alot of thinking (I think at times, my brain was actually smoking!) because I didn't use a pattern!! A friend asked me to replace her old, torn, plain-jane bible cover with some fun! For some reason, I was scared of zippers! Well ok, I know why~my Memere, quite arguably the BEST seamstress I know, has always so, "No way! I don't do zippers!" I think she meant she doesn't fix them, like in jackets & stuff, but I thought if she doesn't like doing them, they must be super nasty to work with!!

BUT, I really wanted to make a makeup-pouch & finally got the courage to at least try~it's not hard to rip apart a seam & try again if it didn't come out right the first time. And hey, practice makes perfect, right?!! So, onto youtube.com I went & searched for a video tutorial to put a zipper in. IT WAS EASY!!!!

So when Denise asked for this bible cover, why then was a scared? Well, you see, it's a 24" zipper that goes around CORNERS! EEK!!!! But again, with a little trial & error, I think it came out great! Take a look at the pics below ;)

I made it with this fun fabric~Denise made a comment that it reminded her of the Coach bags~with the circular print!

My Friends Call Me the Bag Lady!!

And for good reason!! I have sooo many bags! And if you're out shopping with me, it's pretty common for me to buy another~until now!! That's right, girls! You heard me! I'm not going to buy any more bags (well, I am going to seriously cut down!!) because now I'm making them!!! And they're so cute!













Here's one for winter~made out of recycled sweaters~a common phrase amongst us artsy-fartsy's is "Upcycled". Taking something old & making it into something better! ;)
This is super fun~and super time consuming!! But, I'm doing my part & supporting the local second-hand stores! My favorite is definately Salvation Army, where on Wednesdays, it's 1/2 off ALL clothing!!! WOOHOO!!!!

Made from 5 sweaters (once felted, they shrink ALOT!) of pinks & grays~I'm in love! And I found some really cute, soft, gray & pink polka dot corduroy to line the bag with! PERFECT!!! Stay tuned for more! I'll be making them alot in the summer to stock up for the winter. So, if you have a color combo request~let me know ;)

A Natural Progression.....

I've done it! And I'm LOVING it!! I started making Custom Purses!!!!!
